Sponsered Cycle Ride - Tavistock
1 November, starting at Yelverton (RAF Harrowbeer)and riding to Coy Pool

Tavi Riders, a local youth cycling club and Tavistock Community Football Club are using it as a sponsored ride to raise funds for their organisations

The cycleride is open to everyone and for those not wanting to raise money the cost will be £2.00 per individual or £5.00 per family. The event will end at the Red & Black club where pasties will be served.

Devon Playing Fields Association AGM
5x30 are attending to support the Devon Playing Fields Association AGM at Chulmleigh. Two of the 5x30 Community Activators are offering Games Sessions as part of the proceedings

Konyamika - Devon Youth Services
Devon Youth Service is holding its annual festival for young people aged 13 to 19, this year under the name of "Konya Mika". There are seperate one day events rather than the usual weekend Festival, details below:

24th June - Westpoint, Exeter
07th July - Barntstaple, North Devon
25th July - South Hams and West Devon

5x30 will be attending each of these events offering vaious activities including dance, Frisbee and many more.


Lark in the Park (01/08/09)
5x30 Community Activators, Emma Higgins, Jessica Christie and Ken Ross supported the Lark in the Park event at Knightswood Park, Cullompton. The event was a Play Area Consultation and Fun Day with free admission to all.

5x30 acticvities offered at the event included Street Dance, Cheer Leading, Hula Hooping and Back Exercise. Over 40 people took part in these activities, helping towards the success of the days events and making people more aware of the variety of exercise opportunties available.

Exeter Respect Festival - Saturday 11th July
Exeter Respect is the city's annual celebration of diversity when we use the full range of performing and creative arts to promote multi-cultural understanding. Our festival has grown year-on-year in scale, scope and quality - and this year's celebration features a wider range of events than ever.

5x30 will be in attendance and hoping to deliver traditional sports day activities

Devon Games to Inspire - Sunday 5th July 2009
The Devon Games to Inspire (GTI) 2009 will be held in Barnstaple on Sunday 5 July 2009. This event will replace the Devon Youth Games that has run with great success for the last ten years at venues across the county.

The event will see around 1,400 young people from around Devon representing their districts in a bid to win individual medals and the overall Games to Inspire Trophy.

Look out for the 5x30 Stand and speak to the Community Activators who will be available with information about 5x30 the project.
