The aim of the 5X30 Network is to get together rural organisations/individuals to work together to increase opportunities for people to access physical activities.
FOR EXAMPLE:Does the local bus run 10 minutes too early for your parish to get to the local swimming pool sessions?
The 5X30 Network could assist in initiating discussions with both the bus company and the leisure centre to see if their times can be altered slightly to make it possible for people to use the pool.
It is anticipated that the 5X30 Network will encourage organisations/individuals from community nurses, youth officers, and gardening clubs through to village halls, leisure centres, doctor surgeries and transport providers to all talk to each other.
Benefits to you/your organisation
The 5X30 Network will provide a fantastic opportunity to promote your facility or physical activity whilst also giving you the opportunity to access 5X30 funding to set up new activities.
So how is this going to happen?
5 times a year the 5X30 Network will invite everyone to get together and discuss what is going on now, what can help improve physical activity opportunities and how the improvements can be made.
If you or your organisation would like to be a part of the 5X30 Network, contact the 5X30 Project Co-Ordinator on 01884 234390 for further information.
