North Devon and Torridge districts teamed up to deliver a five days of activities including Burlesque chair aerobic, Baby and Me Aerobics, an Activity Fun Day, Chair Hip Hop with Age Concern and a giant Conga and Hokee Kokee with over 300 pupils and teachers from a local primary school.

To mark the arrival of 5x30 in Teignbridge local Community Activator, Annabel Allen teamed up with Dance in Devon and Active Teignbridge in Newton Abbot higs street. A range of activities and entertainment were on offer including X Biking, Cheer Leading, Dance Workshops and Hula Hooping.

Five 30 minute physical activity taster sessions were on offer at Tiverton Pannier Market to mark the new era of 5x30 in Mid Devon. Local football, basketball, bowls, walking and dance groups/clubs attended and members of the public also joined in with the celebrations!

The 5x30 Project celebrated its launch as a Devonwide campaign in March 2009 at Westbank Healthy Living Centre in Exminster. The launch was attended by key funders and parthers to the project who took part in various physical activity taster sessions including Chair Aerobics, Back Care Exercise and Frisbee skills. There was also an impressive mountain bike trials demonstration from world competing Andrei Burton.
